Behold, the holiday month has come and is about to knock on our doors. And as we like to say, ‘Tis the season of giving, our annual tradition goes on.

If you live in Toronto or anywhere around the GTA, the Shoebox Project is a great way to give and reach out to women who live under the care of shelters, and are not so lucky to celebrate the holidays with their families through the cold of December. To many of us, a shoebox of products might not be much but it definitely will brighten up the day of these women, like a message being conveyed that they are not forgotten, and someone out there does care about them.

Starting off just from a relative’s gift-giving idea in Montreal, the Shoebox Project has been around and growing continuously since 2011, while gaining attention from many honourable sponsors such as CIBC, Joe Fresh, L’oreal Paris, Le Chateau, Cineplex Media, Winners and more.

How can you help with the Shoebox Project?

The simplicity is just filling out shoeboxes with little luxuries, and while decorating them we get to have fun with our creativity. The nicely wrapped boxes are then gathered and delivered altogether to shelters across the country.

Team Henkaa got together for some team building and bonding while we wrapped our custom shoeboxes and filled them to the brim with goodies. We’re so excited about our shoeboxes and can’t wait to see the donations that come in!

Read more about the guidelines for creating a Shoebox gift donation on the Shoebox Project website.

We at Henkaa are honored to be a partner and a Shoebox Project Toronto drop off location.

Please bring your donations to:
1245 Caledonia Road Suite 101, Toronto, ON.

*The last day to do so is December 6th, so hurry!

Also, don’t forget to say Hi!
