The blue carpet at the Critics' Choice Awards 2019 did not disappoint. There seemed to be a few trends that were picked up by the celebrity attendees. Frock style dresses, lots of bling and cutouts galore.
Let's take a look at the cutout trend 2019 -cutouts are not new, but this year seemed to focus on tasteful variations of the look.
Emily Blunt
Emily Blunt wore a gorgeous Miu Miu gown featuring lots of crystal details and a delicate cutout.
We recreated the look using our Henkaa Silver Grey Sakura Maxi convertible dress and Silver Grey Convertible Sash.
This cutout is tasteful but adds interest to the gown. Adding a cutout to a convertible dress style is a great way to elevate the look of an infinity dress for a more formal event.
Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron did not go unnoticed at the 2019 Critics' Choice Awards blue carpet. Her Givenchy dress featured an asymmetrical neckline, simple cutout and was made with a shimmery metallic fabric.

Laura Dern definitely had the most interesting cutout feature on her dress for her 2019 Critics' Choice Awards blue carpet look. The actress wore a Saint Laurent gown -another one shoulder look, this one featuring a daring slice cutout from her shoulder down to her waist!
