Henkaa is a proud supporter of the Breast Cancer Society. In fact, a portion of all sales are donated to the charity and a few Henkaa girls even ran for the cure earlier this year.
When we were recently approached by Justin, a freelance wedding and event hairstylist, to sponsor an event in support of the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Women's Hospital, we were thrilled and immediately said "Yes!"
In August, Justin had the opportunity to work with a bride, Vinci, who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. Undergoing treatment, by the time her wedding came around, the bride had to wear a wig. Vinci's story and positive spirit really inspired Justin to put together an evening to raise money towards helping individuals in need purchase wigs.
Vinci finished her last treatment on Thanksgiving and will speak about her experiences at the event.
